Becoming like Jesus is a life-long effort, and it starts with obedience.

We have to work out of our own salvation out of fear. Fear because of the burden of responsibility that is God's work here on this world. Yet remember what Paul says - it is God who works! We need not worry about dropping the ball because we have God working through us. He is behind us and so He enables us to do what He wills for us. As we work together towards the goal set for us.

But why all this effort?

To reveal Christ in us

Like Jesus we are to put others first. Our relationships with others should be servant-hearted. We serve others with a glad heart so Christ can be shown through it. Those acts are like small stars in a great night sky display of God's glory.

Holding firm to God's word allows God to transform us to be more like Christ. Let the truths of Christ and what He has done permeate through you and change your perspective from your circumstances to eternity.
